Mother Angelica:
Suffering for All of MankindSt. Paul tells us, "I am suffering now, and in my body, to do what I can to make up all that has still to be undergone by Christ for the sake of His body, the Church" (Col. 1:24). It's my body, but His pain. I don't know how many Christians realize that this is one of the greatest revelations that God gave us. It is Jesus who continues to suffer in the Christian for the good of all mankind.
Every pain we endure with love, every cross borne with resignation, benefits every man, woman, and child in the Mystical Body of Christ.
